Transfermarkt adopts goTom to unify sales and ad operations

Transfermarkt, a global digital football platform active in 27 countries and with 50M+ monthly users, has officially chosen goTom as its CRM and order management system. Following onboarding, the publisher now relies on goTom to run its ad sales workflows seamlessly across all markets, covering both IO and Programmatic Deal Management.

Transfermarkt adopts goTom to unify sales and ad operations

Transfermarkt uses goTom as a standalone CRM for its digital sales activities. Furthermore, it leverages the platform’s API to push campaigns directly to Google Ad Manager, enabling fully automated push-to-ad-server workflows while keeping all campaign management centralized in one system.

Campaigns include both IO-based and programmatic flights, with programmatic making up a large share. This setup allows all revenues – from IO and programmatic alike – to be managed and billed within a single platform, providing Transfermarkt with a complete, unified view of its ad business.

What were once fragmented processes, from rate cards and offer creation to campaign delivery and billing, are now fully consolidated in goTom – giving Transfermarkt a complete, unified view of its ad business.

Sales and Partnerships Manager at Transfermarkt

We were convinced by goTom’s CRM platform, which consolidates features across ad management, campaign management, offer creation, reporting, and invoicing. The platform allows us to significantly reduce the manual effort previously required, making goTom the ideal choice for us.

The setup and onboarding phase was shaped by close collaboration and open communication, enabling the Transfermarkt team to quickly adopt goTom in their daily work. With attentive support and a true partnership approach, “the end result is a fully transparent, consistent, and well-documented workflow covering the entire sales cycle,” says Maximilian Grosse from Transfermarkt.

Since going live, Transfermarkt has already seen early efficiency gains. Standardized price lists across countries have significantly reduced the time required to prepare offers, while pushing bookings directly to the ad server has removed the need for manual duplication. With additional features for customer database management, reporting, and invoicing, further improvements are expected in the near future.
